Refund & revision policy

We design Beacon Reports so you can try the product on us before paying for anything. The Free Edition is the primary refund mechanism: if it doesn't meet your expectations, don't place a paid order. This policy explains the rules that apply to paid orders and to repairs after delivery. It is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service.

Free Edition

  • No charge, no refund: the Free Edition is delivered at no cost.
  • Limited to one Free Edition per template per user. Additional Free Edition reports of the same template require a paid order.
  • If the Free Edition file fails to upload to your TeleStaff environment, we will repair it free of charge — see "Failed-upload repair" below.

Professional Edition (paid)

Each Professional Edition order includes:

  • One configuration round. The configurator captures your card and layout selection at the time of order. We build to that spec.
  • One revision round, no extra charge, if the delivered file does not match the spec you configured. Request the revision within 14 days of delivery by replying to your delivery email or contacting support@beaconreports.ca.
  • Free repair for any defect that prevents the file from uploading to a supported TeleStaff environment.
Additional revisions, scope changes (different template, different KPI cards, different layout), and out-of-scope custom engagements are quoted separately.

Failed-upload repair

If a delivered .rptdesign file cannot be imported into a supported TeleStaff version (v7.x or v8.x) we will fix it at no cost. To qualify:

  • Report the issue within 14 days of delivery.
  • Include a screenshot of the TeleStaff custom-report import screen showing the error above the import box. The studio FAQ has a one-click email template that includes this prompt.
  • Confirm the TeleStaff version, environment (production / test), and whether the problem reproduces on a clean upload attempt.

Cancellation

  • Before generation (status: pending) — full refund, no questions. Email support@beaconreports.ca with your order reference.
  • After generation, before delivery (status: approved or rendering) — we will offer to complete and deliver the file (it is already built) or, on request, issue a 50% refund and discard the file.
  • After delivery — orders are final, subject to the revision and repair rights above and to mandatory consumer-protection law.

Discretion clause

If something about your order doesn't fit cleanly into the rules above and you are unhappy with the outcome, email support@beaconreports.ca and explain. We will work with you to make it right. Beacon Reports is a small operation and reputation matters more to us than any single order.

How refunds are issued

Refunds are issued back to the original payment method (Stripe) within 10 business days of approval. EFT and cheque payments are refunded by EFT to an account you nominate; please allow extra time for these.

Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you have under the BC Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act or other applicable consumer-protection law.
